BriteWash Auto Wash Celebrates Grand Opening

Leesburg, VA - BriteWash Auto Wash, a locally owned and operated car wash, celebrated their opening with a ribbon cutting and community grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 30. The $5 million facility is located near the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Rt 7 in Leesburg and offers both interior and exterior auto detailing services.

The grand opening celebration was open to the public and featured complimentary car washes, refreshments, face painting, balloon artistry, DJ, prizes and giveaways. The event raised money and awareness for Mobile Hope, a Loudoun-based non-profit that provides support and emergency shelter to youth up to age 24 who are at-risk, precariously housed or homeless and empowers them to become self-sufficient. The auto wash plans to work with Mobile Hope to provide employment opportunities for their clients.

In attendance were Loudoun County Supervisor Kristin Umstattd; Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk; Leesburg Vice Mayor Marty Martinez; Leesburg Town Council Members Neil Steinberg and Zach Cummings; Leesburg Director of Economic Development Russell Seymour; and President & CEO of Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Tony Howard, along with family, friends, and supporters.

Founded by hotelier and Leesburg resident, Greg Miller, BriteWash offers a customer-service driven, community-focused alternative to the chains that dominate the auto wash industry in Loudoun. Miller has made a commitment to raising funds for local and national non-profits, schools, associations and organizations. BriteWash offers weekly discounts for service industry workers, first responders and educators. And in its first month of operation, BriteWash raised over $2,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause dear to Miller’s heart. Miller has a goal of raising $50,000 for St. Jude through the end of the year.

“Culminating with this Grand Opening, BriteWash offers a courteous, efficient, and helpful auto wash experience to our Loudoun County neighbors. We are committed to delivering superior wash and detail services. So too, our legacy will be met by embracing the community where we live and work by giving back,” said Miller.

BriteWash also has a commitment to the environment and the facility was designed with conservation and sustainability in mind. They boast a sophisticated water reclaim system providing the very highest reuse of water among any car wash operation, along with ozone-based washers that operate on cold-water, reduce water use, and decrease the need for detergents. The facility is energy efficient and implements a recycling program.

“I want to tell everyone around the world what a great idea this is and how responsible it is. We have to recognize that cars that need to be cleaned and car washes use a lot of water. The fact that (BriteWash) is recycling that (water) is noteworthy and we’re really very pleased that you chose Leesburg for your location,” stated Mayor Burk.

BriteWash offers a warm, welcoming interior space for their customers. Inside you’ll find “The Pit Stop,” a sundry shop featuring a variety of pre-packaged snacks, beverages and frozen treats along with car-oriented products like hanging air-fresheners, Armor All wipes, Rain-X and more. BriteWash offers complimentary freshly popped corn and a light show for the kids. BriteWash even has their own coffee, “Pit Crew Brew,” from Leesburg roasters Square Feet. BriteWash hopes to offer local beers and wines in the near future and is in the process of securing their ABC license.

Said Miller of his competition, “unlike the big multi-unit wash operators, BriteWash plans to succeed by being approachable, hospitable, and community-oriented.”
